About Gail Bannister-Munn

Gail currently works as Flexibility, Yoga, and Pilate’s coach with the NY Jets Football Team, and Pro Hoops Basket Ball that focuses on skill sets that can help players improve in all areas of defense, and offense. She currently holds certifications in several different disciplines, including NASM, AFAA, Fascial Stretch Therapist L3, YogaFit 500 hrs, AFAA, STOTT PILATES® Mat 1 & 2, Powerhouse Mat Pilates I & II, and is an NASM and AFAA Continuing Education Provider, which enhances her coaching abilities to her athletes, staff and her classes.

Gail quickly rose through the ranks within the fitness industry, becoming NASM certified while being employed as a group exercise instructor and eventually taking on administrative, and management responsibilities. She first started with Bally’s Jack Lalanne, and then became the Regional Program Director for New York Sports Club, Long Island. As a fitness instructor, she also taught at Citibank’s corporate fitness center, the Vertical Club in Manhattan, Life Time Fitness Long Island. Her management experience started with NYSC Long Island, named Group Fitness director. Gail now works at XSport Fitness for the past 9 Years as the Area Group Exercise Manager for three of there NY Locations.

She is the owner of The Bannister Method,”Works” located in Danny Holdstein Dance & Fitness 340 Wheatley Plaza, Greenvale NY 11548. Gail presents The Bannister Method™ at national conferences, and is a Fitness Consultant for professional athletes.

Gail has gained momentum in her career as a presenter with ECA World Fitness, DCAC, WSSC, IDEA Fitness, offering Step, Dance, Yoga, Restorative Stretching, Strength Base classes, Educational, and business Lectures at their fitness conferences. Gail has her finger on the pulse of fitness enthusiasts and the club industry because of her widely varied fitness background. She presents both workshops and lectures at internationally attended conferences, and teach choreography, and presenting her Bannister Method. Her classes are constantly fresh with new moves, and music, often incorporating trends and ideas that are just moving into the fitness scene.
